I've now used Leibish twice - first for the diamond in my wife's engagement ring, and second for the sapphire I just purchased. This review is for the sapphire purchase. The company is efficient and reliable. You get your purchase shipped overnight or as close to it as possible in tamper proof, but unobtrusive packaging, and you get exactly what's on the website. They are also very responsive to emailed questions. More specifically, I chose Leibish over other websites to purchase this sapphire for two reasons. First is quality - they seem to only list high quality gems, and you can see this when browsing through stones. While the selection might be more limited, there aren't any dull ones that you have to wade through and exclude from the decision making process. This makes it so much easier! Second, they had more transparent definitions of quality. They have an outside lab grade color and clarity, so you are actually looking at as an objective a rating as possible, making it easy to compare between two rocks that look identical on the internet.

I had never bought a colored diamond so I decided to do some research. Not all colored diamonds are created equal. There are several ways used to manipulate a colorless stone using heat, pressure and radiation to name a few. Then there is natural which came from the earth the same color as when completed. One on a budget might have to choose a little less carat weight to get the natural. I choose natural because I believe it is the best investment. Leibish & Co. offer quality in the natural state. Meira was very easy to communicate with and very professional. Thank You and I am sure to return when need be.

My sister shared this website with me and now we are pretty much addicted to assembling fine pieces. Everything we have received has been as advertised and of very good to truly excellent quality. It is hard to stop buying from here - that is the only problem. Their prices are fair - somewhat below market value here in the US, but well above wholesale. There are cheaper outlets for such items if you can scrutinize diamonds and do your research very carefully. But for those who can't, you can be assured you're getting excellent quality when you come here. They have been willing to work with us with some discounts, which is nice.
