Lindsay Lohan hasn’t been following the rules since her days as Hallie Parker and Annie James from The Parent Trap. From constantly being in the news for some reason or another to her recent interest in Islam, it always seems like Lindsay is doing something different and that attracts lots of attention. This time it’s her 5-carat emerald ring that is presumed to be an engagement ring. Shortly after announcing her engagement to fiancé Egor Tarabasov, a 22-year-old Russian heir, Lohan was seen at a Duran Duran concert proudly showing off her enormous green gem.
The Ring
Although there haven’t been any official clarifications regarding it being an engagement ring, this gemstone creation seems to be a 5-carat emerald mounted upon a platinum or white gold setting and surrounded with a halo of colorless diamonds. Given the proximity of the ring’s first appearance to the couple’s engagement announcement, it has been widely presumed that this is indeed the great Lindsay Lohan's engagement ring.
The Story
Lindsay Lohan has no shortage of controversies and dramas that are connected either to her or her melodramatic family. However, despite the rather significant age gap between the two lovebirds, six years, it seems to be a match made in heaven. Even Lindsay’s hard-to-please parents are satisfied with the couple. Perhaps that has to do with the groom-to-be’s billion dollar fortune. Regardless of the extended Lohan family’s thoughts and opinions, the young Russian aristocrat has somehow managed to tone down the rather wild former child star a few notches. The duo has only been together several months and is already prepared to start a life together.
The Future
Though a date has yet to be set, the newly engaged couple is enjoying this period of their lives. Lindsay is just ecstatic. While in New York City she took the opportunity to party a bit and even appear on stage.
Lindsay Lohan may do everything in life a little differently than most people, including her choice of engagement ring, but truth be told, gemstones are taking the engagement ring industry by storm. More and more future brides are selecting colorful options from color diamonds to emeralds, rubies, and sapphires. These stones are just as prestigious as the colorless diamond, if not more prestigious, and bring exciting colors to the table, not to mention personality and style.
