We’ve Been Doing This for a While
After a quarter of a century delivering the finest custom work to our loyal clients, you might imagine we have collected some rich memories of beloved jewelry created at LEIBISH.
The first of a long list of exceptional pieces was an unforgettable commission. It was for a pair of earrings commemorating a 50th wedding anniversary. The couple with 8 children was approaching 50 years of wedded bliss, and the husband wanted to honor those happy years and the children his wife bore him.
He had clear ideas and needed a creative design to demonstrate the love and appreciation he felt for his wife. What resulted was a unique design using eight perfectly matched blue Sri Lanka sapphires representing their 8 children. Fifty cascading diamonds symbolized each of their 50 years together.

Rosi and I have been married for 48 years now. We have great admiration for the man who gave his complete focus to creating an extraordinary gift—recognizing those fifty years and their 8 children with a perfectly matched pair of earrings.
A piece of anniversary jewelry allows a man to express his appreciation and devotion to his wife, whether 5 years of married life or 25 or even 40 years. The most important factor is the personal touch, reflecting his wife's desire.

Great Designs Take Time
To create the kind of earrings I mentioned here, we required over one month from the customer’s core idea to the finished design.
But the end was worth the wait--and the result was stunning, even for us. We custom-cut the 8 blue sapphires in Bangkok for an identical face-up appearance. Then, we hand-selected 50 matching diamonds from a few sources around the world. Meanwhile, our craftsmen in Israel worked diligently on the gold setting until it was finished with perfection. They looked breathtaking on the new owner, whose privacy we guard, so we didn’t include pictures of her wearing them.
In Time for the Holidays
As we approach the holiday gift-giving season, my heart skips a beat while we await new commissions.
And just like clockwork, when the holidays arrive, one of my favorite customers reaches out with a new idea for a custom piece to surprise his wife at Christmas. This endearing couple runs a farm, harvesting pears and apples, among other delightful crops.
In 2022, he came to me with a vision for creating something truly special – a pear-shaped pendant with an orange diamond center inspired by their farm's greatest achievement, the Bosc pear.
"I think the Bosc pear was probably our greatest success," he wrote, sending a sketch he’d drawn. Together, we brought his vision to life, crafting a stunning piece that captured both the story of their farm and the love they've nurtured throughout the years.
So, we see that custom jewelry is much more than the sum of its parts. It’s integral to the personal history of those who entrust us with bringing their story to life in jewels.
